Printmaking continues to dominates my practice, especially since I acquired my own press in 2013 which has enabled me to be much more experimental. I have always loved the processes involved in printmaking and how it somehow modulates the creative flow. Relief printing and etching were my specialisms during my studies but I am currently exploring monoprinting which is a very free and relatively quick way to work, it can also be a lovely painterly medium, but due to its method, can only produce a unique print - it does not create a lasting matrix from which to ink plates for duplication. So painting has very much stealthily crept back into my practice albeit in a printmaking medium. I am now also familiarising myself with another technique - collograph with carborundum. I am currently working on a body of work in this medium.
